We spent Christmas 2012 in our flat in Malta, returning to Moraira mid January. Then we had a trip to Belfast in February for a 50 year on reunion for David at Campbell College.

Belfast Diario

Returning home Alison & David came to stay, leaving their motor home down in Moraira .

Late February we set off to Buenos Aires and thence to Ushuaia where we boarded the siver Explorer fo a trip from Cape Horn to Cape Town.

Antarctic Diario

This was followed by flying to Windhoek and driving around Namibia for 3 weeks, flying home mid April from Victoria Falls

Late April we enjoyed an Oxford Alumni weekend in Madrid.

Mid May we went to Malta for 2 weeks. This was followed by a 12 day visit from Joanna, seemingly cured of Dissociative Identity Disorder and all her past traumas, and eager to start a new life

June & July we enjoyed having friends for barbecues and eating out in fantastic weather.

Then a lunch in Gandia with Oxford Alumni before watching the mens final of Wimbledon , awash with Pimms, in the finca of Nicola & John. Luckily Andy Murray won. Then a photo of our cactus beanstalk that grew & grew outside our lower flat!. After this a trip up the mountains for a theatrical lunch at Ca Sueno.

Then a delightful Paella at Maria's when her friends Sandra & Stephen were visiting her from N.I. Carlos, from S.A., who had lived in Spain for 30 years, cooked the paella and then lunched with us. In June a dinner with Graham & Anne at Tosca in Javea and then at end of July a return visit from them for .... another barbecue!

August we visited Vic & Gaynor in St Priest les Fougeres, France, away for 6 days, staying overnight at Ainsa en route, and visiting Brantome with its chateau and market with Gaynor whilst there. Driving back on the Sunday in one go took us 12 hours!

Also in August our passports had great adventures in obtaing visas for Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan & Iran!!. And my History of my Javea Bridge Club finally got a link from the club website!

In September we had 3 days in Istanbul before touring Turkmenestan, Iran & Azerbaijan with Wild Frontiers

October saw us staying in Moraira for 2 weeks, enjoying Bon Amb- just before it got its Michelin star! -& Secrets - Nigel & Beverly - before visiting Stephen in Scotland and then proceeding to Malta for a week

Then at the start of December we set off for 6 weeks in Melbourne, Tasmania & Adelaide
