I wonder if any family ties still today with any of Isabella's first cousins- the above 3 Armstrong girls?? - I looked them up on Ancestry trees and found a Dixon tree that had them on, but > 2000 on the tree, and they were not direct ancestors, & had no descendants or death dates
Pat knows that Isabella spent a lot of time with Granny Floyd, who Pat's mother, Annie 1920, knew as a child and indeed up to the age of 23 .. Granny Floyd was Mrs Mary Jane Floyd , who died 22/11/1943. She was a monthly nurse and probably was engaged originally to take care of baby Isabella, becoming very fond of her. I think she might even have referred to her as Ma

There was also a cousin of my Mums called Ivy, her father when.to to Australia when she was very young promising to send for her & her mother, never heard of again. Ivy Hedley married Charles Lymer in 1940 & had Judith 1946, Charles 1947, Diane 1955, & Eileen 1959 they moved to County Durham between 1947 & 1955 - who was Ivy Hedley?? If born 1913 mother was Moffet, 1917 mother was Reid or 1922 mother was Lewis_ Pat knows she was younger than her mother, thus the last. Eveline Lewis married William C Hedley Tynemouth Jun 1921. Looking for a marriage of a William Lewis to a Sarah Ann ? 1895-1898, I cannot find any marriage in Northumberland/Durham and no surname that rings a bell even anywhere else But a Sarah Ann Hall marries John William Lewis Tynemouth Jun 1896 . John William Lewis, b. Sunderland, is in 1871C & 1881C, not in 1891C, then as William J Lewis with Sarah, Kate & Georgina in 1901C
So I now know that Ivy's grandmother was a Sarah Ann Hall, born ~ 1878 - BUT, cannot find her in 1881C nor in 1891C!, to find her father BOO HOO
supported herself or her child after her husband died.Could she have married, again, a William Elliot in 1945?
