1854. David Davies , 14, on 14/3/1854, was indentured apprentice, for 4 years, to Evan Thomas, shipmaster, on the Cambria of Aberystwith, indenture enrolled in Newport Merchant Navy apprenticeship index Ancestry.

1/7/1854. David Davies was a 'Boy' on the Lewis of Caernarvon until 17/12/1855. No 18980.

12/4/1855.David Davies was an Apprentice on the John Helhuish of Liverpool until 22/1/1858

Below is the history of his wife & family - he apparently always at sea on Census days . They had 2 sons and 2 daughters . But he does appear in the 1911C.

His widow Sarah, likely moves back to London area to help her daughter, Catherine, look after the motherless daughter, Barbara M M Davies, 1918, of son, Thomas Francis Davies, whose young wife died in 1920 . Both Sarah & Catherine Davies would seem to be living with the newly married, Barbara, in 1939 register - bbut in fact they were in their own house, and Barbara & her husband, David Sander, were just visiting!!

1970. His daughter, Catherine, 'Kukky' died St Albans Mar 1970. No probate
