1882. William Lyons wrote a Will: https://apps.proni.gov.uk/WillsCalendar_IE/WillsSearchImage.aspx?id=188632. His wife, Jane Lyons, and Mr William Teele{ likely born~ 1837 & his son in law } of Enniskillen were the executors. He leaves money to his daughter Maggie Teele of Sligo. Names of other children: James, William Thomas, Alexander, Henry , John, BUT... no mention of Richard!! : my feeling is that he had already given Richard his share of the inheritance when he set up in Sligo around 1872 .
But- from Tim Rainsbury in emails 2/3/2020- at time of his death, William had 3 children: James, Richard & Maggie- have asked him to expand on this !

He died as the result of an accident in 1902.

And, WTL was in business in Newbliss, as well as being a farmer. His advertisements for various products and services continued after his father's 1887 death, so we know the merchant after 1887 must have been William Thomas Lyons, the son.
