1919. Annie Mckendrick, nee Mclellan, 41, married to Robert Garvie McKendrick-butcher, dies 17/1/1919 at 22 Canal Street, Renfrew. Cause of death: Influenza syncope [ & Graham knew from his father that she had died in the great flu epidemic] . Her parents were William McLellan, cloth lapper - not given as deceased & Annie, nee Mason - this incorrect: she was her paternal grandmother!.- deceased.

The mistake in the naming of her mother was likely due to the fact that her mother died in 1886 when Annie was just 8, and thus she might have looked on her paternal grandmother, Annie Mclellan/Mason, as her mother during the years 1886-1891. Her husband would never have known either of them.
