Ann Mason 1818-1891

~1818. Born to Matthew Mason & Ellen/Helen Mitchell in Ireland. Her father had been in the Army in Ireland. Ann is given as aged 37 on the dc of her father on 12/9/1855: if this correct, then she was born between 13/9/1817& 12/9/1818! But her parents actually married in February 1819, so maybe not born until 1819, but could still be late 1818: census entries and her 1891dc support this. .

So, her husband would seem to have died 1857-1861: he in fact died 17/2/1856, so unsure who Thomas M Mclellan is!!- there is a birth of Thomas McLellan in High Church, Glasgow in 1857: this likely him, probably with Thomas Meldrum as father!.

1863. A M Mason McLellan married Thomas Meldrum in 1863, Calton, Glasgow -SP, not purchased.

1871C.Ann Meldrum, 52, is living at 29 Landressy Street, Calton, Lanark, with her new husband, and 2 children and 2 Meldrum children, James 22 & Thomas 14, both Twister . The youngest is probably also her child: I suspect he is her last child with Wliliam who has assumed the name of his step-father.
