Life in 2017
The start of 2017 saw David being Super Carer with me recuperating with a broken knee and broken wrist in our fairly friendly for invalids flat in Malta. The knee was encased in a Beckham Boot arrangement from ankle to thigh, the wrist in plaster. On January 7th we had an interesting flight back to Spain. .

On January 18 snow came to Moraira after 12 years' absence. This followed by profound storms for 4 days |

Stephen came to stay for a week just before we left for Burma. Told us all about 'baby' |

. . Received more photos from his aunt, via a solicitor's letter, whilst we were in Burma
Then on February 22nd, interrupting the intensive physiotherapy treatment necessary, we set off for 5 weeks in Burma, with a few days either end in Thailand
Once back in Moraira there was a visit to El Portet, lots more visits to Apollonia, the annual palm tree trimming, an Easter tournament at JBC, Easter lunch at Carol's and Paul's, two cataract operations for David and the dreaded pre AGM meeting around the pool .

May saw us visiting friends in England for the first time in 3 years
. 
Oscartoo returned with me and met Facetious, 1973 Ted & Sleepy- part of Stephen's past

| Back in Moraira we enjoyed a drink down in Portet with Carol & Paul, Patrick, Aidan & Loughlan . . . .Then a Sunday lunch with Anne and Michael | ||||
Early June Carol had a photoshoot of her OneLife clothes & O'Gorman Kicks Ted came to stay after a Saturday lunch at home

Then mid-June we had 4 days in Malta en route to Italy to celebrate out Golden Wedding
July saw us having a week on France, staying enroute in the Basque couuntry
We had dinner at Ted´s just before

16 days in Malawi and 8 days in Tanzania in August
At the end of August we had supper with Carol & Paul at Moraira's Number 1 rental Villa

rented by their daughter for her 40th birthday. It had a divine pool. in which I had a superb after supper swim. A wonderful evening. |

September saw us visiting England and Malta, a nonstop whirlwind 10 days
Once back we combined a trip to Ikea in Valencia with a lovely lunch in the rice paddies
. 
We then returned to Malta a couple of times in October and ordered furmiture for our new flat
We had lunch with Maria at Vall del Caball
.
Then off to Central America for the whole of November
And finally to Malta for 7 weeks mid December for the dreaded knee replacement
