Feel option 1/2 most likely : daughter is called Margaret- favouring Option 1, but she marries in 1855 in St Marys- favouring Option 2!

1880. Charles Hailes was born 8/6/1880 at Thomasgate, Limerick to Timothy Hailes, staff City Limerick Artillery, & Margaret Connell

1890. A pension record exists for him . Sergt. Timothy Hailes, 49, born Mallow, Cork, had worked for ~30 years in Limerick City. Age here would indicate a birth ~ 1840

1891.On 27/11/1891 Timothy Hailes filed a complaint against his wife, Margaret Hailes of Castle Street, for 'Assault on him, using violent, abusive & threatening language'. No result given, but he had died within 6 weeks of this!

Timothy Hailes, and Margaret his wife, erected a memorial to their children in the C of I graveyard of St. Munchins Church
