He was almost certainly the father of Henrietta Latta, ~1829, & he seemingly dies in 1837

1805. William Latta proclaimed his marriage to Ann Watson in Cardross on 28/12/1805. She of the parish of Cardross, he of a different parish, probably Dumbarton- SP, whole banns of marriage purchased , not worthwhile

They had : Jean 1808, William 1811, Catharine 1812, Ann 1814, Elizabeth 1817 & 1820, Catharine 1822, all baptised in Dumbarton. So why did they forget to baptise Henrietta~1829?

1839. Am almost certain that he is the William Latta who dies in Dumbarton in 1837, leaving a Will [actually a testament of 1839 ], in which a James Latta is his next of kin, since his only son William must also have died. James then takes care of his youngest daughter. An argument against this is surely one of Henrietta's much older sisters, if any survived, could also have taken care of her!
