His parents were William McKendrick, ships carpenter, & Ann Brown, deceased . A witness was Jane Garvie, her 20 yr old sister.

Back Wynd was the original line of the road to Coupar Angus. The buildings on the triangle formed with East Bridge Street and Gowrie Street were demolished in 1980. These included Willie Munro's Ironmongery shop. This area is now a car park.

1900. Jessie McKendrick, 58, widow of William Brown McKendrick, butcher, dies 12/5/1900 at 16 Marshall Place Perth . Parents were :Robert Garvie, engineer, & Annie Murray, both deceased. Cause of death: Apoplexy, 3 days. Informant: William McKendrick, son, of Denoon Villa, Craigie Road, Perth.
