Between him and Anna Maria Arden
Of the said parish of Saint James Clerkenwell Spinster of the age of nineteen years and upwards but under the age of twenty one years
And made Oath the he believeth that there is no Impediment of Kindred or Alliance, or any other lawful cause, nor any suit commenced in any Ecclesiastical Court, to bar or hinder the Proceeding of the said Matrimony, according to the Tenor of such Licence. And he further made Oath, that

1859 Created the High Bailiff of Southwark - see website below, seemingly the chief officer of the Old Bailey - when his 1885 death was announced in several newspaoers, all announcements just mentioned that he had been the High Bailiff of Southwark since 1859
