1846. Sarah Brantnell, laceworker, marries Thomas Birks, crate maker, on 7/9/1846 in Caverswall . The certificate gives his father as John Birks, crate maker, hers as George Brantnell, collier. Both are residing Adderley Green . Both of full age -FMP. One of the witnesses was Phillis Birks, a sister of the groom. . No one could sign their name. Caverswall ~ 10 k SE of Stoke. Adderley Green ~4 k NW of Caverswall . So Sarah has moved a long way W of Heanor
