1810. Mary Dawson was baptised Oldham to John Dawson,weaver, of Treacle Street, born to Betty his wife . BUT, only a small chance that this couple then move 20 miles to Ringley !! An Atkinson Ancestry Family tree has the 1806 Oldham marriage of John Dawson to Betty Clegg being that of our John Dawson - highly unlikely!!!

1810. A marriage of a John Dawson to Elizabeth Grundy on 2/12/1810 in Eccles is a possibility, BUT, only that! - Manchester marriages Ancestry .Elizabeth was born Kearsley/Little Hulton, 2 m to the W, from the censuses , but no baptism ~1784 of an Elizabeth Grundy there on Manchester Baptisms Ancestry. But there is a baptism of Elizb Grundy 1783 in Ringley to Edmund & Catherine Grundy!-IGI. And their firstborn is called Catharine Dawson in 1813. Thus, slight evidence to support this marriage
