1830. Emma Elizabeth Le Richeux was baptised on 18/8/1830 St Leonards, Shoreditch to John le Richeux and Elizabeth - FS & FMP .
Mistranscribed on Ancestry London Baptisms as le Rickeny, address New North Road, John a warehouse man. So they had left the Huguenot Threadneedle Church
An interesting sideline! John Le Richeux was a warehouseman in Lad Lane : he appeared as a victim at the Old Bailey
1833. . CHARLES SALTER was indicted for stealing, on the 5th of January , 2 coats, value 4l. , the goods of John Le Richeux . JOHN LE RICHEUX. I am a warehouseman in Lad-lane. On the 4th of January, between twelve and one o'clock, I hired a coach from the stand, at the top of Goswell-road, Islington; I had a bag with me, which contained two coats - I discharged the coach at the Cock, at Holloway ; I forgot to take the bag out - I have seen the coats and bag since; I believe the prisoner was the driver of the coach , but am not quite positive.
WILLIAM HEMMING . I am the watchman at Goswell-road stand. I remember the coach being hired between twelve and one o'clock on the 4th of January - the prisoner drove it; he is not the regular driver, but the coachman was at supper, and he called the prisoner to drive it and bring it back - he brought back the coach, but did not say any thing about the bag or coats.
JOHN WILSON . I am a pawnbroker in St. John-street. I have a coat, pawned by the prisoner on Saturday, the 5th of January - this bag was with it.
JOHN JONES . I live in St. John-street. I bought this coat of the prisoner on Saturday evening, the 5th of January.(Property produced and sworn to.)
Prisoner's Defence. I recollect carrying this gentleman, but I did not find the bag till I had carried another fare.
GUILTY . Aged 28. Transported for Seven Years .
1834.The partnership between John and his brother Lewis - a Stock & Fancy Linen Manufacturing business in 2 Bow Lane Cheapside- is dissolved

1841C. Cannot find him, only his grandfather Nicholas Le Richeux, 98, is to be found!!
1851C. His wife, Elizabeth Le Richeux, is living Frederick Cottage Sussex Road, Lambeth. Where is John, her husband??
