Mary Duncan ~ 1766
Born in Argyll ~1767? No baptisms there on FS , nor on SP
1787 Mary Duncan married James Muir 26/10/1787 in Campbeltown Argyll. He was a shipwright - this from the 1873 d.c. of their son Robert 1795.
They had the following known children: Janet Muir 1788 baptised Campbeltown, John Muir 1791 baptised Greenock, James Mure 1793, Robert Mure 1795 & Thomas Mure 1798, the last 3 all baptised Ardrossan . So the family obviously moved along the coast due to his work as a shipwright.

I cannot find James Muir ~1765 in the 1841C, so presumably he died before this date.
Do not think the following entry can be her, as she married in Argyll, so was probably born there.
1841C Mary Muir, 75, independent, living Ardrossan with a Janet Muir 25 . Also a James Muir 45, plasterer, who could be her son James 1793, living in a Barclay family in Ardrossan

Cannot find deaths of these 2, James nor Mary , from 1855 onwards.
No local Duncan born 1759-1799 in Campbeltown in 1841C.
