1914. Her mother was involved in teaching at the Clapton Congress Hall, and she got to know Hugo Price who was attending the Sergeants training course there .
1916. Her future husband, Captian G W Hugo Price, was in Twezeldown Camp, Farnham. He sent the postcard below on 3/4/1916 to: Captain G. Blundell, S.A. Bridge St, Bungay, Suffolk


1917. Gladys was staying with her future parents in law .A postcard of 'Upway, Nr Weymouth', written by Gladys to her mother, is dated 23.7.17 and gives the address she is writing from as 57 Brownlow Street, Weymouth which was where Edward Hugo Price and his first wife, Catherine Ellen Price were living. It is addressed to 'Mrs Major Blundell, 3&4 Seaview Terrace, Westonville, Margate, Kent' (that was the address of the Home of Rest where Christiana was the Matron). She wrote 'My darling Mother, Just a P.P.C of Weymouth or rather the surroundings. Really I am having a glorious time only it goes all too quickly. Much love Gladys'.
1918. From Woodbridge, Suffolk, she sends a postcard to her sister Lillie.The postcard is a photo of Gladys and Lieutenant Annie Sillett both in Salvation Army uniform . It is headed 'Woodbridge Feb. 1918' and she writes 'Dearest Lillie, I thought perhaps you would like one of these of your big Sister and Lieut. Annie Sillett. But Meryl is sure he was actually living in Catford with his 2 sons about this time, so might just have been visiting his Leicester colleagues for a few days
His 12 yr old daughter, Marjorie, ( and likely her 2 elder brothers) was with her paternal ,Edward H Price, and his 2nd wife in Weymouth
1962. Chrissie G Price died 23/11/1962 . Her address when she died was 1 Old Bexley Lane, Dartford and she was cremated on 30th November 1962 at Eltham Crematorium. Meryl has the receipt for her Cremation and various other papers relating to her including letters and postcards she wrote in the years before she became ill.
