Vaeroy
A quick breakfast and then ashore att 8 am for the Vaeroy village walk: this was not well organised and involved a lot of hanging around. Basically we heard how fishing for stockfiash took place in the past, and up to the present day. There was the old village, with relics from the past and the old store. Eventually we walked the fair distance to the church, built in 1939 and then .continued by ourselves in a loop back to the jetty

Back on board in time for me to have a quick swim before lunch in the main restaurant. Then a siesta before going out again for the Lofeten and Local Artists tour: we stopped at the blacksmiths, then the glass blowers where the sun came out and we had fantastic waffles, and finally at Hoekland beach . Then back to the ship in Leknes, to where the ship had repositioned during our absence.
