St. Kilda
our 2nd visit
Went ashore again with the long hikers at 7.30 and then went our own way, up the road to the radar station: it was very steep but I was able to stop frequently for a rest. Wondrous views over the island. As we were having a banana and water the long hikers appeared from the opposite direction. We continued on till reaching an old MOD post but then Scott caught us on our return and wanted to escort us all the way back, just in case!. After about 20 minutes of this, me tagging along 50 yards behind!, we managed to shake him off and could continue with stops to admire the scenery. Then walked back through the village getting a completely different view of it from this direction.

Back aboard I had a swim. - again with Miss Precosious ( she, 10 years old, had told me that she was the most popular person aboard!!) . - before lunch outside on the Terraza . Then we moved to Deck 8 where we sat outside whilst the ship toured around Boreray and its stacks: The guest Ornithologist, Peter Harrison, gave a commentary on its bird populations
