Skye and Canna
Went ashore at 830 for the long walk , 8 km, around Loch Scavaig. Joe yomped away at a scary pace and we were soon the last!. Surprised myself as to how I managed to stride over the rocks. Very boggy and I almost lost my shoe at one stage. Neil was very supportive and he in fact went into a bog higher than his boot. Decided to turn back just before halfway and that was a good decision; it was wondrous going at our own pace, I could admire the scenery and we could stop for a banana and a drink of water whenever we wanted. Lost a rubber end off one of my sticks in another boggy area.

Back to the ship before noon and enjoyed lunch outside of the Terraza.
.

In the afternoon we disembarked with the long hikers but then walked by ourselves on the Isle of Canna. Covered two thirds of their walk, another 7 k, but this excursion was relatively easy, just around the inlet to an old, closed, church. Went into 2 other churches and into the gardens of Canna House.
