Life in 2022
We returned to Moraira from Malta mid January 2022. Covid cases were high in Teulada, but we felt quite safe eating outdoors ; but many restaurants were closed for ´the low season. . We had Bert´s last sunday lunch, for 6 weeks, on January 16th.

Then a sparkling, Champagne dinner at Amantes with Carol ( Paul being in the UK). Unfortunately David somehow managed to pull a hamstring |
Lots of Morning Bridging , and a wondrous swim in Carol´s heated pool, 19 degrees, on the last day of January, having just met Sue, whose genealogy I was doing, down there.

April saw us up in La Ratatouille in Sanet y Negrals and enjoying a lunch with Bill and Brenda. Then back to their new flat in Orba where Bill had baked a delicious carrot cake . Edwood was there too, showing off his wardrobe |
.
After this we avoided most social contact, in order to avoid the risk of contracting Covid - which would put pay to our super cruise. This mammouth 2 month cruise being the result of 2 years' worth of cancellations. So
Just 2 nights back in Moraira and we were off to Asturias
Then a whole 6, very hot, weeks in Moraira

This was followed immediately by the vyrectomy on my right eye: a dismal week followed but within 10 days Dr Ferrer reckoned the sight in that eye had improved by 10% and would continue to improve over the course of a year
The urbanisation had to rebuild a huge wll outside peter Fox's house and David had problems with the new owner of a house above us, who was bringing down lorries onto our private road. And Steve wanted his wall repaired as part of any deal!
