1784. Roger Mcllellan married Agnes Dunlop 13/2/1784 Dundonald Ayr. SP- have not purchased.

They had Jean 1787, Mary 1790, Agnes 1795 & Agnes 1797: no William nor Hugh shown baptised to them on FS , all Monkton Ayr.

But, as well as these baptisms, SP has records for William MccLelland baptised 10/2/1793, Thomas McLelland 1785 & Rodger Mclelland baptised 1800, all in Monkton & Prestwick to Roger Mcclelland & Agnes Dunlop. SP has all 7 baptisms, 1785-1800, to Roger MccLelland & Agnes Dunlop . And Hugh McLellan was also born Monkton in 1807 [ information constant through 3 censuses] and he states he is William's brother on William's 1856 d.c.

Have looked up Mclellan, & variant spellings, baptised in Ayr 1750-1767, and there are 48 but none in Monkton, and none with the name Roger/Rodger.
