The town was all streets going up hill and along the main drag a few tourist shops. Difficult cobbles for walking! |

Despues de otro desayuno bueno y charla con Grace salimos para Segesta. Este era un sitio lindo, totalemente aislado en el campo. Habia un templo del siglo 5 AC y mucho mas arriba, al que llegamos en autobus : un teatro ( que una vez se habrian sentado 4000 personas) y las ruinas de un pueblo con iglesias, mezquita, etc. Entonces condujimos hasta Erice, un pueblo fortificado muy alto, con adoquines dificiles para andar .

We then had a super appartment in Viacolvento Hotel, Marsala, but our private terrace was flooded for 30 hours of our stay!! |

Breakfasts were fine, but staff untrained. We dined one night in "La carte de Mangiani "restaurant: here good ambience & staff, disappointing food. |

Being an enormous site, we took the "golf cart" option to see it all & really enjoyed it despite the weather being a bit iffy |

Then back to investigate Marsala wine at the Florio winery/shop. We bought a bottle of an Italian bitter aperitif (which we consumed in Sicily) |

Llegamos a Marsala a las tres y encontramos un apartamento agradable en el hotel Viacolvento, con su patio grande como entrada, pero, desafortunadamente, este lugar era una inondacion durante 30 horas y los cojines de sus sillas totalmente empapados. Anduvimos por el pueblo antes de la llegada de la noche. Cenamos, un menu de degustacion, en un restaurante cercano, 'La carte de Mangiani': el ambiente era lindo pero la comida no era excelente. Despues de un desayuno bueno condujimos hasta Selinunte, dificil de encontrar como no existia en nuestro GPS. Selinunte era un sitio antiguo grande, al lado del mar. Utilizamos un pequeno tren para viajar las distancias grandes entre sus tres partes. Sus templos nos impresionaron. De regreso visitamos una fabrica de Marsala, Florio. Cenamos en el bar ' La sirena Umbriaca', solamente de tapas deliciosas, vinos de la region y de Marsala; este tarde nos gusto mucho - era como en un bar irlandes.
