I cannot find him nor his parents in the above census and thus deduce that the family arrived in Glasgow from Ireland 1861-1865. His parents die in Govan 1865 and 1868.

On 7/7/1865 Hutcheson town district Glasgow- from 1873 bc - below- for son Daniel' Jessie maybe only 15. His father Francis McMahon, railway labourer, his mother Helen Reilly. Her father Daniel McCallum, labourer, deceased, her mother Mary McIntyre.
