1915. Harry Steer, 24 years & 11 mths, 5ft 9in, clerk, of Wayside Cottage, South Holmwood, joined the 15th Battalion, London Batallion on 8/4/1915 but was discharged 80 days later, as 'not likely to become an efficient soldier' ' on medical grounds'. This was 'irregular action of his heart'. Character 'good'.

1917. Harry Steer, employed by the Prudential Ins.Co., the subject of a Tribunal in Weybridge, the Army challenging his exemption from, presumably, being called up again: but, he had already been discharged in June 1915, as medically unfit !
