But equally well he could have married an Elizabeth Farnaby on 9/12/1820 Weaverthorpe Yorkshire, witnesses Richard Ireland & Ralph Harrison - FMP - this is his wife according to Murray Hesp: no b.cs.availabe for any of their children, so cannot check this way. Footnote; a Murray Hesp 1931- son of a half great uncle, William Roy Hesp 1894, of David's & Laura's has spent years in the past researching the Hesps: - he wrote a book ' The Beginnings ' - never published. The following was in this - from Laura :
New Yeare and Jane went on to have 7 children but only 1 of them lived to adulthood. This was Robert Hespe, born Jan 11, 1704
Robert Hesp 1704 married Mary Ringrose
Robert & Mary had Robert Hesp 17xx?
Robert Hesp 17xx married a Mary Unknown.
Robert & Mary had John Hesp 7/10/1791 Weaverthorpe
Life was hard in those days. The "Beginnings" book has 159 pages of stories about the family but it was never published for public sale. A tremendous amount of work was put into it.
Murray Hesp has also written several local history books on the Caledon- Bolton area of Ontario
Did Robert Hesp 1704 have a son Robert, who was maybe the father / grandfather of John Hesp 1791 ??? West Heslerton just 6 k NW of Weaverthorpe & 6 k NNW of East Lutton . There are Hesps in the Wintringham parish records too - these available online
