Thomas Davis ~1778- ~ 1855 . Occupation : Army , then labourer

Born Somerset , seemingly Timberscombe??- from 1851C entry . This near Minehead, Dunster.. No IGI/FS/Ancestry/FMP baptism anywhere near . No Ancestry tree.. A Thomas Davis marrying a Mary Pitts in St Mary Magdelen Woolwich in 1816 is the only marriage on Ancestry 1800-1820

: A Thomas Davis, Sgt 39th Regiment, marries an Elizabeth Ann Cook in Wyke Regis Dorset 1813 - Wyke Regis ~40 k SE of Whitechurch, this feasible!

The 39th went on to serve during the Peninsular War (1808-1814) fighting at the Battles of Marabout, Albuhera, Vittoria, Pyrenees Nivelle Nive, Orthes and Peninsula. No baptism for Elizabeth Cook in Dorset on FMP

Do not think there is anyway to ascertain who he married with any certainty
