1895. Anne Beatrice Phillis was born to James Henry Phillis & Annie Maria Butt Pancras Dec 1895. Baptised 8/9/1895, her father a Machinist, address 3 Diana Place My grandmother was born in Highgate, London - how do you know that. What memories do you have of her?.
1899. Sister Ethel born 10/3/1899. My mother’s sister was named after her because they shared the same birth date. Ethel 1899 married my grandfather’s cousin William Morrison.

She met Bill's grandfather during WW1. My grandfather was in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and he was billeted with the Phillis family in Norwich before going to France. He was wounded with shrapnel at the Battle of The Somme.
1920. Anne Beatrice Phillis, 25, married William Dickson Smith , 24, clerk, in St Thomas, Higham, Norwich on 10/8/1920. His father William Smith, grocer, deceased: hers James Henry Phillis, engineer . His address Banton, Stirlingshire: hers 61 Portersfield Road.
I suspect they moved up to Dumbarton straight away: seemingly not in the 1921 English census. Scottish 1921C not available, on SP, until mid 2022 at earliest
1923. Ethel Phyllis Smith born 10/3/1923 to William & Anne in Latter Street, Dumbarton . She was named after Ethel Elizabeth Phillis 1899 because they shared the same birth date
1930 . Anne Morrison Smith was born to William & Anne on 31/8/1930 in Park Street, Dumbarton. Her parents had married on 10/8/1920 in the parish of St Thomas Higham, Norwich
