Thomas & Elizabeth also had Fanny Permain 1827 ; Henry Permain (1831. ( baptisms in the same register. Register started in 1820 and no baptisms prior to Fanny's: ends ~1834) Elizabeth Permain baptised to Thomas & Elizabeth 9/12/1832 at Hornton St. Independent, Kensington-FS; William Permain 1837; John Permain 1839, George Permain 1843
? Maybe son Henry Hewlett 10 is at a school in 1841C; Henry Permain 20 an apprentice tailor in 1851C; Henry Permain marries Islington in 1858 and is in 1861C as Henry Permain, tailor.
The fact that Henry is an apprentice tailor with someone other than his father in 1851 would suggest that father, Thomsa, is certainly dead by that year
The above 1858 m.c of son Henry Permain gives his father as Thomas Permain, tailor. One of the witnesses is Martha Hewlett Permain
A seeming red herring! 1834. A Thomas Hewlett. 39, died St Pancras and was buried Spa Fields Burial Ground was buried 1834-FS.
