1900. Margaret told her granddaughter, Gillian, of holidays she spent in Much Marcle witr Whites( I have yet to determine which ones!!) and that the highlife of her life

was of raising the flag on Much Mackle parish church on Mafeking day- 16/5/1900. The father? -of cousins? (I suppose Caroline's brother) was some kind of factor and one of the family made it to Cambridge and, I believe, became a headmaster.

Thes cousins could have been children of a sibling of her grandfather, James White 1828 - so can I find a sibling of his who lived in Much Marcle in 1900??
