Jude has a silver thimble, given to her as a child, by who??[ surely not passed down from Samuel's daughter- Jude's ggggrandmother 1814-1867?] :
I googled the silver thimble I have; made by James Fenton & Co Birmingham, who made thimbles between 1854 - 1922. So the relative could have worked there? Or maybe a coincidence. The thimble I have is about 1880’s.- so certainly not connected to Samuel
