Joseph Marston was born ~1770 to James Marston and Elizabeth Cooper in St Mary Stafford /Hopton- Alan Bamford but he says he can’t guarantee correctness especially for Joseph Marston’s parents!! . No baptism on IGI, FS, Ancestry, FMP

1801. Joseph Marston married Sarah Perkin 3/11/1801 St Mary Stafford

They had the following children baptised at St Mary Stafford: John 1802, James 1803, Thomas 1805, Elizabeth 21/3/1807, William 1809, Sarah 1813-1838, Joanna 1815 & Ann 1817- IGI. The Elizabeth shown here must have died and another child called the same born ~1814, though no baptism, & none for Mary 1812-1868 around the same time

Thomas Marston 1805-1892 married Jane Hall 1811 in 1843: thus he married a daughter of John Hall 1784-1852 , she the sister of of George Hall, the husband of his sister Elizabeth Marston- these two having married in 1842 . Alan has a lot of information on Thomas and Jane’s descendants from a lady called Gwen Elton.

1822. His wife, Sarah Marston, 47, died 27/1/1822, was buried Ingestre St Mary Stafford on 30/1/1822 -FMP. Burial inscription: Tender mother and constant friend to daughters.

1838. His daughter, Sarah Marston, 24, was buried Ingestre St Mary Stafford - FMP.

1841C. Joseph Marston, 75, farmer, almost certainly a widower, is living Hopton Lower House farm, St Mary & St Chad, Stafford, with 3 children & 9 servants. Elizabeth Morris 65 likely a visitor
