James Birkett ~1795 -<1837, maybe 1832
No marriage on Ancestry , FS, IGI nor FMP around London: just one on IGI to a Jane Tennison on 20/1/1819 Patrington, York - this seems unlikely!
1820. Son Edward Birkett born ~ Seemingly no baptism on London Ancestry baptisms 1813 onwards, FS, IGI nor FMP throughout England, .Edward Birkett born St Lukes /Stepney, Middlesex to James Birkett &, possibly, Jane
Since, 1822, a John Birkett was baptised St Luke Old Street Finsbury, Middlesex to a James Birkett & Jane - FS & then,
in 1827, a Mary Ann Birkett was baptised St Mary's Lambeth to a James Birkett & Jane - FS. Cannot find her marriage!
So I thought it very likely that this James & Jane are also the parents of Edward , but, have now seen the 1850 m.c of John Birkett, b. St Lukes -from the 1851 census- to Jane Neate, and his father is James Birkett, merchant's clerk, not hatter!!. So, seemingly he not the father of our Edward
Have a James Birkett ,39, burial record 1/4/1832- thus born ~1793 - at St George the Martyr, his address Old Kent Road -Ancestry- this may well be he.
James Birkett, hatter, dead by 1844 when his son marries in St Mary's Lambeth . No deaths around London for him on bmd 1837-1844, so seemingly dies before July 1837- likely 1832
