1820. Jordan Paul Jordan was born 6/1/1820 Madras to Paul Jordan & Mariam Pogose Vardon Gaspar: they had married in the Armenian Church, Madras on 8/11/1817 - Ancestry Taylor tree .

1847. Hosannah Queenie Jordan was born to Jordan & Anna in Calcutta

Other children were: Mary Jordan 1846-1904; Katerina Sarah Jordan 1849-1894; Paul Jordan 1851-1886/1901; John Chater Jordan 1852-1913; Elena Jordan 1854; Vardan Jordan Jordan 1854-1919; & Dr Gregory Paul Jordan 1858-1921. All but the last Calcutta?

Now- from 7/11/2018 - in contact with Robert Delster Jordan , gggrandson- like Nigel- of Jordan Paul Jordan . "Jordan Paul Jordan married Anna Chater - Delhi. Their son John Chater Jordan married Caroline Scharf - Calcutta. Had son Samuel 1896 - 1965 married Iris Marklew, their children Leonard Delster ~1920, Norma, Derek and Robert, my uncles and aunt. Left India after the Second World War, most went to Australia and Dad to the UK where his 7 sons remained (3 wives) - Robert"

And 27/10/2019, Rob in Brighton. "You said one of sons of Leonard Delster Jordan (my father) was a Peter, we have no knowledge of a Peter. There was a son from Margerie his first marriage, a boy called Leonard. And two sons from my mother Patricia Jordan, who probably was not married. Kathy (second wife) had Four sons"

Fibis has a daughter born 28/4/1846, another 8/5/1847, a son 10/12/1850, another 6/2/1856- these 4 in Calcutta .

Vardan J Jordan living 14 Park Road, West Dulwich 1906, Kensington 1909-1912. He is in 1911C,57, 9 children, 2 dead, b. Calcutta, married, living 99 St Marks Road, Kensington, a government pensioner. All his 6 children, 18-28, born Rangoon. Also a Manook female cousin, but no wife . Died in Notting Hill on 29/12/1919, of Elgin Road, Thana, Bhowampore, India, probate to Frederick Dwight Gaspar, his nephew, solicitor attorney of Ellen Annie & Gregory Jordan. Effects £475. http://chater-genealogy.blogspot.com/2015/04/ gives a long description of his 'adultery' with his cousin, Mrs Manook, in the 1891 in Rangoon!!Vardon Jordan’s own wife filed for a separation in the Calcutta Courts. His life was a far cry from that of his brothers’ Paul Jordan and Dr.Gregory Jordan both of whom carved successful careers in Hong Kong, Paul as a stock broker and Gregory as the Port Health Officer. Gregory, who spent a lifetime apart from his brother Vardon is buried only a few feet away from him in Kensal Green cemetery.

1857. J P Jordan was on the Cape of Good Hope from Moulmein to Calcutta on /10/1857.

1863. On 28/7/1863 Mary Jordan, his eldest daughter, married G J M Manuk in Calcutta, he being 'of China' -Fibis ( in 1858 a G P Jordan had married I Manuk)

1864. Seemingly in HongKong and had his wife's brother, Catchik Jordan, living with his family

1870. His daughter, Hosannah, marries N M Gapar in Calcutta

1875. Jordan Paul Jordan, aged 56, died 4/9/1875, buried 5/9/1875 in Calcutta- Ancestry . Also certificate on Fibis. No probate in London or Edinburgh

So, no evidence of any connection with Edinburgh, where his married daughter, Hosannah Gaspar, lived and gave birth to 2 children 1877-1881 at least. But, his son. John Chater Jordan 1852, was a Law Student in London in 1891, and took his wife and ~7 children with him!
