Jeanette Hutchinson ~ 1863 -1938
Alledged "step sister" of Gertrude & Maud Gazdar. so 99% they share the same mother, Mary Anne Hutchinson/White
Atkinson/Heather-Mossop Ancestry tree -10000 people- has Frederick Hutchinson as her father; no mother given
1863/4. Reputedly (1911C) born at Nottingham Place,( this Marylebone) London, but no entry on bmd , to Frederick Hutchinson ( from her 1908 m.c) of the Indian Civil Service. He seemingly only 15 in 1863!
But!, there is a Jeanette White born Clerkenwell Dec 1862 and a marriage of Mary Ann White to Frederick Hutchinson Portsea I. Jun 1868
. I have not found her in any disguise in English 1871 & 1881Cs! . Nor does she appear in the American 1870 & 1880 Cs . So I suspect she spent her childhood in Bombay , where, maybe??, her father was working in 1871 through to 1903
But now think this, the above, Frederic Thomas Hutchinson is a different personn, NOT her father
1882. Jeanette Hutchinson married Robert K van Alstine on 24/1/1882, Puttnam, Florida - FMP image available. . .. He maybe related to Freeman Van Alstine of Niagara Falls , Ontario, Canada - a daughter Ruth gets engaged in 1934
1889. Jeanette Van Alstine is living 4 Harley Road.
Note address of 4 Harley Road, where Jamsetji was living 1890-1896
1889. On 29/11/1889 the Yorkshire Herald mentions Jeanette van Alstine as an author - FMP Newspapers

Her address was Wrexham Mansions, his 129 West End Lane . One of the witnesses was Gertrude Gazdar ( back in 1890-1899, Gertrude & Maud reputedly lived with a Mrs Mossop, when their mother was back in Bombay!- this came from Aunt Jean=Emilie Gazdar 1912, and I think she meant Jeanette, who here becomes Mrs Mossop) .
1911C. Jeanette Mossop ,47, in 1911C, living , as a visitor, in the Cleveland Hotel Westcliffe by Sea,, born Nottingham Place, London. Her husband, Charles Mossop, 45, bankers clerk, also there . She had been married 4 years, one child who had died ( Gertrude Mary Mossop, 0, dies- and is born - Hendon Mar 1908) . A Mary Anne Hutchinson, born Mddx 1844, is living with JJ Gazdar and Jeanette´s step sister Maud Gazdar at Foxhall - almost certainly her mother

Mary Anne Hutchinson ia almost certainly Jeanette's mother & our Mary Anne White . But why does JJ fill up the census form as such??: in the 1881C she appears as Mary Anne Gazdar, his wife. OK, she is the mother of his 4 children but there was never an actual marriage. Now, 1911, he has dropped the "wife" pretence and enters her by her true name
1922. Charles Mossop dies 21/1/1922 at Vine Cottage, Southall- this the address given for Mrs Mossop by Aunt Jean. Probate: he left £ 2374., executor Jeanette Mossop, widow

but no death of Fred. J 1881-1911. And this lady is in 1871C fairly newly married- to M A Church in 1869 , so cannot be the mother of Jeanette!!
