1813. Alexander Blaikie married Isabel Henderson in Melrose on 24/12/1813 -SP not purchased. Melrose ~20 k N of Hawick
1814. William Blaikie was born Melrose to Alexander, dry stone dyker, & Isobel ( names from his dc were Alexander & Mary Henderson) -SP
No other baptisms to this couple on FS
Alexander seemingly dead by 1841C but no burial record on SP, & none for Isobel either
But there is an Isabella Blaikie in Hawick, b. 1787, widow, annuitant , with children Robert 1814, Thomas 1825 & Jessie/Janet 1831i n 1851 & 1861Cs - but she was married to a George Bleakie in the 1841C!! So- irrelevant!
