This picture shows Annie in later life standing outside her shop.  I think this shop was in Cambuslang, opposite 54 Lightburn Road where Walter Thomson (b1884) and family lived from some time in the 1930s.  From visiting Cambuslang recently I think the shop building is still there but now a house. I'm a bit hazy on this info which is based on recollections of what my father told me.  Anne or her brother Iain may know.

I do remember my parents mentioning a shop in Cambuslang owned by a family member, and much later realised it must have been Annie's when I saw the picture which was labelled as Annie by my father. As I mentioned yesterday I thought the shop might have been in Lightburn Road opposite no. 54 where my/Anne's grandfather Walter lived  with second wife Joan, my father and his sister, and their half sisters - Anne's mother Helen and her aunt Joan.  However, comparing Annie's picture with one I took in Lightburn Road a few years ago I don't think it is the same building after all, so exactly where the shop was I don't know.- Alan
