Andrew Colquhoun ~1841-1881
1841. Andrew Colquhoun born to James Colquhoun & Catherine McGhee in Ireland
His parents must have been married in Ireland: I have explored the possibility that they married in Scotland,- not on SP 1821-1841 - and were just over in Ireland for his birth. His mother , Catherine Colquhoun, formerly Wilson, nee McGhee, seemingly still alive in 1869 and in 1881.
1851C. No trace in Scotland
1861C No trace in Scotland
1869. Andrew Colquhoun, 29, iron paddler, marries Martha Roger, 29, laundress, on 10/5/1869, Calton, Glasgow. His parents James Colquhoun, farm labourer, deceased, & Catherine Colquhoun, nee McGee ( actually McGhee from his 1881 dc!) . Her parents John Rodgers, farm labourer, & Martha Rodgers, nee Jamieson . Both their addresse Mossend, Bothwell . Witnesses Henry Rogers & Henry Mitchell

Informant on this, David Wilson, is maybe the son of his mother, Catherine, when she was Mrs Wilson, before she married James Colquhoun: he is in 1881C, as born Ireland 1835, a coal miner, unmarried, boarder in Old Monkland . He is in the 1871C, b. 1839, miner, living Old Monkland . Maybe in 1861C too, now born 1831, miner, in Old Monkland. Not found in 1851C
