MELANCHOLY ACCIDENT - Mevagissey.
For the last few days the weather has been exceedingly squally with heavy showers; notwithstanding this, however, some of the drift boats ventured out on Monday night, and on Tuesday morning, one of them being observed to be in distress, a boat went out from this place and took her in tow. The boat who went out desired the others to lower their sail, but they still persevered in carrying it, when a sudden squall capsized her, and she went down. Both the men belonging to her were unfortunately drowned. The names of the unfortunate sufferers were Hugh Behennah, and William Hancock; the former has left a wife and eight children, and the latter four.
