Hi. According to ancestry.com you have my 4th great grandparents, Joel Kaufmann and Beyla Wolf ( aka Boehlah aka Beile aka Bölah Wolf) in your tree. You may not have them written but maybe have their descendants. I'd be very interested to hear from you. All of my ancestors even my parents and grandparents are from Germany . Hi. I'm going out for a while but will give you info about these folk when I come back. Wundel Buhr has many names. The real spelling of her name is unknown. I have Mindel Baer. Which would be Bär. Joel Kaufmann was married more than once. He was married to Elkana first and had 2 sons Mendel and Abraham. Then married Beyla/Boehlah, Beyla (spelling didn't matter in those days) Wolf and had 3 children, : Lea, Wolf, and Moses. Will get back with you later today. had to look up Adelheit Neuberger. It sounded familiar. I think I got her from Heidi bodenheimer. There are many Joel Kaufmanns descended from the original. The "original," my 4x great grandfather lived from 1738 to 12 May 1823. The one who was married to Adelheid Neuberger lived from 1829-1866. He is a descendant of 'the original" and my 1st cousin 4x removed. My 4x great grandfather, Joel Kaufmann had a son named Wolf Kaufmann (1792-1846). You are right. And Joel's father was Manuel but he may not have had the surname Kaufmann. Jews would not have had a surname at that time, most probably. Manuel (my 5x great grandfather)was married to Lea. But it's doubtful Lea had a surname. I have never seen any dates for Manuel or Lea. Wolf Kaufmann the full brother of my 3x great grandmother Lea Kaufmann and the son of Beyla Wolf and Joel Kaufmann (it was very common to give a son the "last name" of the mother for a first name. Especially since that "last name" was most often the first name of the mother's father.
