I have just found my records for the Cemetery where lots of the Hecht family are at. It is called the Home of Peace Cemetery and Emanu-El Mausoleum. It is in the town of Colma. I am seeing that Fred is with his parents, and there is also Elias M Hecht (born Aug. 14, 1879, died April 18, 1927), he would be Fred and Dorothy's Uncle, brother to Joel. There is an Abraham E. Hecht (born May 23, 1838, died Jan. 9, 1898). He would have been Fred and Dorothy's grandfather, Joel's Father. Also I see and Amelia K. Hecht (born Sept. 6, 1856, died May 16, 1904). Where does she fit in the family? There is Helen Hecht who lived only 1 year (born June 15, 1888, died May 2, 1889). Also Edith Hecht, Joel's sister who never married, no children. She was a writer, poems. I have one of her books. There are also a lot of family with last name of Weil (Henrietta, Lewis, and Samuel) and Dreyfus (Harry, Samuel, Benjamin, and Leah) that are related somehow. They are buried in the section right next to the Hecht plot.  Any idea who they were?  There is huge Hecht-Weil Mausoleum next to the grass graves. Not sure who is in there.

Originally the Home of Peace was in the city of San Francisco, and at sometime moved to Colma. Not sure of the date, but some of the Hecht's were already in the original cemetery then all were moved to Colma.- Deborah, the adopted daughter of Fred and Lois Poll Hecht.

I wonder if I can find out how much money he left- seems his daughter Dorothy had her own wealth when she died in 1982
