12 Days in England May 2-14 2017

For unknown reasons, we had a Business Class flight to Gatwick |

The first night we were made very welcome by Fiona & Dick in Twyford |

 |
 |
Then on to Daphne's & Tim's in West Kington. On the Thursday we had lunch at the Talbot Inn at Mells |

 |
 |

 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
Then on the Friday we had a wondrous private tour of Tim's Medical Museum in Reading, followed by meeting up with John Leathes in St.Cross, Winchester |

 |
Saturday we met up with Stephen in Abingdon and walked along the towpath to his boat, Metaphor, before having a pub lunch. Then on to Di's & Tony's for the night: Jo came down to see us from Sheffield, with friends Daryl & Yvonne |

Then, via Gatwick to return the hired car, onto a studio flat in Templeton Place, Earls Court for a week.

On Sunday night we had dinner with Alwyn & Angela. Then I spent Monday with Maggie before having a reunion with 4 others from our 2016 Silk Road trip: along the table- Emma, Barbara, Maggie, Fiona, Chris, Marijke. |

Tuesday I went to Hazel's & Ed's for the day; a walk round the colourful Isabella Plantation, lunch at Pembroke Lodge and then a visit to Alice, Niamh & Joseph. David joined us for supper. |

Wednesday afternoon Martin gave us a tour of the Clock Exhibition in the Science Museum: this followed by dinner at a Polish Restaurant . Thursday I met up with John at the Imperial War Museum, followed by a light Italian meal with Meryl near Waterloo |

Then Friday I met Margaret at the Wallace Collection- a very pleasant lunch there!. And in the evening Tim & Wendy joined us in our flat for supper
. 
And, to round the visit off, I went down to Winchester to meet a special wee friend!
And back to Spain early on Sunday, May 14th
