We flew out Johannesburg, staying with Uncle Len And Gerry and son John, aged about 6. Toured Soweto and Deidre- Gerry's sister, got David permission to go down a gold mine. Then we flew to Cape Town, spent a few days there before renting a car and driving up the Garden route to Port Elizabeth, then into Swaziland and the Kruger Park, and up to Bulawayo and the Victoria Falls: here we met Nigel & Alison- they were working in Ndola, Zambia and walked across the bridge to meet us at the Vic Falls Hotel
