ggran .

Lady in centre is Jessie ~ 1899-1913 . Mrs Longmore must be Natalie's step grandmother- Jane, who died 1913

Helen Catherine Brown married William Rose in 1895: they had Helen E Rose in 1899, & seemingly no other daughter by 1911C :  Betty Rose could well be Helen E Rose, if her middle name was Elizabeth .

Photo almost certainly taken 1899/1900, so Mrs Jessie Brown is here aged ~58, Nellie Rose ~28

The Rose’s were related to William Rose, Shipping & Timber Merchant who owned Hazlehead in Aberdeen (now Hazlehead Park as was given to the city in the 1920’s I think). Presumably Mrs Rose  (Natalie's fathers sister) was in New Zealand in respect of her husband's family shipping & timber business, they must have lived there for a while. Granny always mentioned a cousin, Timothy Rose, who died young (11 to 14ish?) and is buried in Allenvale Cemetery.  Granny mentioned this every time we passed!( Chris cannot find his birth nor death)  - Valerie
